June 24th is the start of our Seventh Annual Peru – Cross Street Youth Camp. This is a central event on our schedule each year, so it’s time once again to trust the Lord for His provision in taking these very special young people to camp. It’s where they’ll get to know God better through worship, bible teaching, and fellowship. Many of these youths come from homes in places like Pachacutec, a sandy slum, where they live in grinding third- world poverty. At Peru – Cross Street Youth Camp, they’ll receive three meals a day for all four days, receive love and encouragement from our Cross Street Team and their church leaders, and find refuge from despair and a Living Hope for today and the future.

Many of the young people leave camp transformed from the inside out. Many come to understand the truth of the gospel for the very first time. Some will be introduced to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We’ve seen hundreds of youth give their hearts to the Lord at this camp!

This year we face a new challenge! The camp we’ve used for the past six years is under construction and not available. In Peru, there aren’t many spots available to hold a youth camp as big as ours, so Marco and the other leaders scrambled to find a location. Praise God! They found a suitable new location, and we’ve signed a contract with them to host this year’s camp. It is going to cost more per camper than last year, but we know God is going to provide. He always does!

We want to offer you an opportunity to sponsor a Peruvian youth to this year’s Youth Camp. We are praying for sponsors for 150 young people at $35 per youth. Please pray and consider helping us with this need. Your gift will make a big difference in the lives of these youths.

This year’s theme is “Stand Out” or “Resaltarse” in Spanish. Our Cross Street Team will share music, drama, testimony, and bible teaching, encouraging young people to “Stand Out” as a light in the world around them. We also plan to raise up more youth mission teams at the camp.

You can make a donation on this website, if you are interested in helping!

In His service,    Brian Weller

The Northside Christian School Mission Team from St. Petersburg, Florida did a great job accomplishing their mission. They especially made an impact in the lives of two families, providing them with and assembling pre-fab homes. It’s wonderful to look into the smiling face of a mother receiving a brand new home for herself and her family from a team of smiling young people. It’s a beautiful experience!

t’s always an honor to take a mission team to Peru and watch the people receive blessings from the team. I’m not just talking about the gift of a home or a gift for the children; I’m thinking of the gift of love. These brief encounters provide lifelong memories for everyone involved.

Along with two pre-fab homes, this team also conducted two eyeglass clinic/outreaches, two VBS ministries, and two sports clinics at Peruvian schools. Thank you, Northside Christian Team for your hearts to serve! You will never know what a blessing you’ve been to the people of Peru.
