March – Reports from the Mission Field

As we celebrate Jesus this Resurrection weekend we are ever so grateful for the love, grace, mercy and goodness of God. He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to make a way of salvation through His horrendously painful sacrifice on the cross.
Without Jesus we would be utterly lost, living in darkness, without hope in this life and for eternity.

Now, because of His great love, we are committed to sharing His gospel throughout the world. God’s desire is our desire and we are determined to GO and SEND, so that others can hear this message of salvation found in Jesus Christ. Thank you for partnering with us to fulfill His call.
REPORTS FROM THE MISSION FIELD:
In the last few weeks we’ve received the following reports from the indigenous missionaries we support.   Below are just a few of those reports.
VIETNAM:
Last month we sent a picture of Evangelist T____ and his dear wife.  We are thrilled to report that with the new motorcycle we provided with your help, they visited an area where Cambodians live in Vietnam and work in the factories there. While there they led three families to the Lord and they are planting a new church there!  Praise God!

Evangelist T______ Sharing the testimony about the new believers and the new church at one of the other churches in Vietnam.

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST:
Please pray for Jim Randall as he lives and ministers in the 10/40 window.  He needs your prayers as he ventures into these different countries to train and counsel leaders on how to be more effective in the Kingdom of God.  He is doing some of that training right now in Vi_____. Thank you!

THAILAND:
A couple of weeks ago Pastor and Mrs. Isara led two more people to the Lord in the church they pastor. They are working hard to reach their community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is something to celebrate. Thailand is a country where only .5% are Christians. Praise God!
MYANMAR/BURMA:
Pastor J______ led a married couple to the Lord recently and baptized them as the Lord commanded us.

They are working hard to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Here again, this is something to celebrate in a country with so few Christians, right in the heart of the 10/40 window.

Praise God!
MYANMAR/BURMA:
Pastor P_____ was teaching and training leaders how to preach the gospel clearly and to biblically pray for the sick.  He then took them to a local hospital to pray for the sick. One family received instant healing. When they got out of the hospital, they visited the church and gave their hearts to the Lord Jesus. Praise God!
PERU:

JJ has been ministering in Peru since January. He has been ministering in different churches and doing Evangelism Conferences with groups of church leaders.

He has written a comprehensive syllabus to give out to conference attendees as well.

There are many reports of people getting saved, healed and delivered.

JJ and Cynthia with some of the Evangelism Conference attendees in Mala. Some of these conferences were organized by Marcos & Eloisa Venegas.

PERU:
I (Brian) was recently in Peru for a couple of weeks. While there I spent a lot of time with the leaders we work with and we also hosted a three day Renew, Refresh and Revive Retreat with these leaders. It was a fantastic time, and God did some beautiful things in the hearts of these precious dedicated leaders. I taught a series on the Kingdom of God, including some things that were new and fresh to them. We prepared a syllabus for them to use to take these messages to their churches.

Part of the group stopped at a chicken restaurant after the retreat!

We sometimes need to be reminded that we are not just a bunch of churches, we are a Kingdom, and it is time to unite under King Jesus and carefully follow the instructions in the Word of God to fulfill His purposes and plans instead of our own.

MISSION QUOTE OF THE MONTH

2018 A Year of Opportunities

We’re both inspired and blessed to look back and see what God allowed us to do together in 2017. Together we took dives of faith to reach people with the gospel, and I sincerely believe God was honored.

God changed many lives as the gospel went forth through direct MM mission outreaches and our indigenous partners worldwide.

Here is a list of some of the things we did together!

  • Thousands heard about Jesus Christ for the first time and many received Christ.
  • Tens of thousands of meals were provided through the children’s feeding ministries in Peru and SE Asia.
  • Children were taught the Word of God at children’s ministries in Peru, SE Asia and India

  • Prefab homes were built for needy families in Peru.
  • Thousands received help through the Peru Flood Relief Project.
  • MM Mission Teams ministered in Peru, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma and Laos.
  • People were blessed with the gift of sight and salvation through MM eyeglass clinic outreaches in Peru and SE Asia.
  • Youth in Peru, Vietnam and Cambodia attended MM discipleship and mission training retreats and camps.
  • Indigenous Pastors and Missionaries received financial support to preach the gospel to unreached villages.
  • Indigenous Vietnamese missionaries received motorcycles to travel to unreached villages with the gospel.
  • Many received healing as we prayed for the sick in the name of Jesus.
  • Orphans received food, shelter, education and discipleship at a children’s home /orphanage in Laos.
  • Most recently, your generosity provided gifts and the gospel for thousands of children and adults worldwide through the Christmas Blessing Project.

We are calling 2018  “A Year of Opportunities.” As we look out on the harvest fields of the world, we feel an eagerness to respond to God and fulfill His call. Throughout the year we will present special opportunities for the family of God to join us in fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission. Like you, we want to stand before the Lord and hear, “well done, my good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).

Please keep us in prayer as we go forward into this Year of Opportunities. Together, let’s take dives of faith and trust the Lord to do “more than we could ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). God’s greatness inspires us to do greater things to bring glory to His name and to rescue the lost and hopeless. We pray that God fills your year with opportunities to demonstrate God’s glory to this broken world.

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS IN PANKOI VILLAGE, THAILAND:

On December 25th, we partnered with Free to Serve Ministries to provide a Christmas Blessing Project outreach to 70 unreached villagers in Pankoi Village, Thailand. Our partner Pastor K. has labored as an evangelist and church planter in the Pankoi Village for some time now, and this outreach granted many new converts for him to disciple.

On Christmas, Free to Serve ministries gathered the Pankoi Village together for a special Christmas meal, played Christian music and preached the gospel. After the gospel message, 7 villagers received Christ immediately. Others received Christ later that day in private, and 3 more families came to Christ within weeks after the outreach through their new relationship with Pastor K. FTS leader David believes these new converts will soon lead their families to Christ. How it brightens our hearts to hear of salvation among the unreached!

During this outreach, God’s hand was also present to heal and deliver from demons. One Pankoi woman had not been able to walk for years, and thus could not work or play a significant role in the village. Our partners prayed for her in the name of Jesus, and to her amazement, God granted her to walk again! Other villagers visited our partners in private to seek deliverance from years of demonic oppression. Jesus set them free from the tormenting spirits and the villagers responded by surrendering their lives to Christ. Jesus is alive, and He loves the unreached people of Southeast Asia!

Thank you so much for supporting the Christmas Blessing Project in Southeast Asia. Your financial and prayer support has contributed to God’s great work in the Pankoi Village.

Thank you for helping to make this CBP Outreach a reality through your prayers and financial support.

Would you please pray for JJ Weller as he spends the next few months in the nation of Peru. He is staying at our mission base in Marquez and is working and ministering alongside the group of pastors and churches that we work with in Peru.

Please pray for God’s direction, anointing, wisdom and health to be on JJ. Please pray for Cynthia Noa our Message Ministries ministry assistant in Peru who is helping JJ organize the different ministry opportunities and helping with translation as well. Thank you!

Please pray that the local churches will be strengthened, challenged and built up though JJ’s messages of encouragement and exhortation.

JJ went at his own expense and has not asked for any help with expenses. If you would like to be one of his SENDERS we are putting a donation link below. Thank you!

If you would like to be an active part of the 2018 Year of Opportunities by making a one time donation or a monthly commitment, we have included a donate button.  We have also included a link to the Donation Page on our website where you can sign up for monthly, semi monthly, bi weekly, weekly or quarterly donations.

Thank you in advance for your partnership
in fulfilling God’s Great Commission!

October – Unreached Cambodians Learn Christmas’ True Meaning

42.2% of people alive today have never heard of Christ, and therefore have never encountered the true meaning of Christmas. Our partner James S. tells how Cambodians heard the Christmas message for the first time through the Christmas Blessing Project.

“During last year’s Christmas celebration, I asked the people of Ang Dang Slum Community a question: ‘Who knows the meaning of Christmas? Whose birthday is today?’ The people responded: ‘It’s Santa Claus’ birthday!”

Most of the people of Ang Dang Slum Community had never heard about Christ, so their perspective of Christmas could go no farther than Santa, sleighs, and reindeer. But even James, a native Cambodian, didn’t expect such widespread misunderstanding. “It surprised me,” James said. “Almost 90% of the adults in Ang Dang are confused about the meaning of Christmas. Even the leader of the local children’s school thought Christmas was Santa Claus’ birthday. They learned it from TV.”

Soon, these dear Cambodians would hear of Christ for the first time. As a light in the darkness, James S. proclaimed the true meaning of Christmas to the crowded room: “Christmas is a Christmas of love. Because God loves us, He sent His only Son Jesus into the world to help us. Jesus never sinned, but died on the cross to pay for our sins. Then He rose again from the dead. Now, He’s in Heaven with the Father. One day He will return to receive those who believe in Him. If we believe in Him, we can be with Jesus when we die in Heaven.”

Some people laughed as they realized their mistake, but more serious spiritual results would soon follow. The Christmas Blessing Project planted seeds of trust that opened up doors for James to visit families and lead them to Christ in their homes. James saw God’s hand at work: “After sharing God’s love in the Christmas outreach, we saw changes. We could see more peace in their homes. The people had more joy. When we visited families and God answered prayers, other families started asking for us to pray for them. God has started to change this community through prayer.”

The 2016 Cambodia Christmas Blessing Project provided mosquito nets for 150 adults, school supplies for 250 children, and healthy meals for all. But most importantly, it proclaimed the gospel to many Cambodians for the first time in their lives. Perhaps this may remind us what we celebrate on December 25th: at Calvary, God offered mankind a free gift greater than any other in history — salvation in Jesus Christ. That is the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas season draws near once again, but not all will find joy on the holidays. Millions of impoverished children around the world will go without Christmas gifts — and much worse, without Christ. Would you like to bless one of these children this Christmas?

This December, Message Ministries & Missions will share the love of Jesus Christ to hundreds of impoverished children around the world through our Christmas Blessing Project. Through our native partners, we will provide each child a specially selected gift, a fresh meal, and the greatest gift of all — the message of salvation and new life in Jesus Christ.
We can’t wait to give Christmas blessings to children in Peru, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam—but we need your help. We need $10,000 by November 31st to bless all the children we can. Would you like to bless a child this Christmas?

Why not buy a Christmas gift for a child in Peru, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, or Vietnam for $5 or more? 100% of your donation will go directly towards the CBP Outreach. Share the true meaning of Christmas—the love of Christ demonstrated on the cross. To support the Christmas Blessing Project:

September – Thank you for doing your part!

I want to start this newsletter by thanking you for your prayer and financial support of Message Ministries and Missions. Without you, we would not be able to help the different indigenous ministries we are privileged to serve around the world. Here are just a few things we were able to do together this past month.

In September, we sponsored a prison ministry event in Huaraz, Peru organized by Pastor Fabian Santillan, an MM Peru board member who oversees our Bible School Training.

Pastor Fabian partnered with Dr. Deaton and the Pacto de Vida (Covenant Life) Bible School to host a discipleship retreat for 200 inmates. Pastor Fabian told us 70% of the men had become Christians recently. The prisoners showed genuine hunger for the Lord and growth in the knowledge of God’s Word.

In September we also sponsored 2 outreaches in the Ma Lang slums of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. Our Vietnamese partner, Nam, whom we met on recent trips to Vietnam, reaches these impoverished areas with members of his church. Your donations provided Bibles and bags of food for N___ and his church to give to inhabitants of two locations in the Ma Lang slum. They gave these items and the gospel at a special service for both believers and unbelievers. God touched hearts through the message of salvation and the time of worship.

Thank you for helping us support Pastor J_____, a very fruitful indigenous pastor and missionary in Myanmar (Burma).

Here is a picture of Pastor J______ preaching at one of the churches he planted and a picture of him baptizing a child from their children’s home.

A Missions Moment – The Doors are Open

August – Contemplating the What If’s!

This newsletter is ordinarily where we share about things we’ve been doing in world missions. However, in this letter, I want to share some things that have challenged me recently. I hope you don’t mind!

The last few days, I’ve been contemplating whether or not I’ve consistently counted the cost of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. I’ve asked myself some difficult and challenging questions. Have I truly considered giving all for the sake of God’s call or am I compromising God’s will and call on my life for my own comfort and desires? Have I gotten so comfortable in this life that I am living more for me and “my” world, than for God and His eternal Kingdom?

If Jesus Christ truly is my Lord, Master, Savior, and King, then my life should be a verification of that. My life’s motto should be the same as the Apostle Paul who said in 1 Corinthians 6:20 “You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”.

When it is time to go home to be with the Lord, I don’t want to go with a bunch of “What if’s” in my heart, such as:

  • What if I had truly done unto others, as I would have them, do to me?
  • What if I had forgiven everyone that had offended me and let go of the residue of those offenses in my life?
  • What if I had truly counted the cost and surrendered everything to the Lord including my time, my resources and my talents?
  • What if I had risked everything no matter what the cost to help get the gospel of Jesus Christ to every person who has not heard?
  • What if I had faithfully lived a life of faith and went beyond taking steps of faith to taking leaps and dives of faith?
  • What if I had lived every moment in light of God’s mercy seat and God’s judgment seat?
  • What if I had done what I did for the glory of God alone and didn’t look for affirmation from others for serving God?
  • What if I had actually believed the promises of Jesus and acted on them?
  • What if I had truly lived the commandments of Jesus?

These are just a few questions I am asking myself as I seek to challenge “me” to “Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” as admonished by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:14. Wouldn’t you agree that our God is worthy of all our love and service?

It is a good thing to evaluate where we are spiritually in our lives! We don’t do it to condemn ourselves for what we haven’t done or to lose heart over what we could have done better. We do it to exhort ourselves to go deeper in our relationship and service to the Lord Jesus Christ. After all, He gave His life so we could be saved from our sin and spend a glorious eternity with Him in heaven. Our worship and service are our response to the great and amazing love our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ have already given us.

Why not, take a few minutes and ask yourself the “What if’s”? If some changes need to be made, make them now! Don’t procrastinate – or days, weeks, months and years could slip by before those changes are made. Or worse, they never get made at all! We don’t want to waste any time in this life for things that don’t matter. Right?

Let’s pray for one another as we seek God’s will for our lives and then go forward to fulfill it by His grace and power.

God bless you,  Brian Weller
  • PERU – We continue to support the 11 Loaves and Fishes Feeding Center ministries in Peru. These operate out of the churches that we work with, and the children are not only fed a nutritious meal, but we teach them God’s Word.
  • VIE____M – We were able to provide a motorcycle for an indigenous missionary that will be used for ministry transportation and to earn money for his family using it as an UBER type of vehicle in Ho Chi Minh City, Vi____m. In that city, formerly known as Saigon there are about 4 million motorcycles and the people there are used to riding on motorcycles.  We have promised to provide two more in the next month.  Those who receive the motorcycles will pay back the price of the motorbike, and that money will be used to purchase another motorcycle for an indigenous ministry.  They cost $1,000 each.
  • CAMBODIA – James Sann is continuing the ministry to children at the Ang Dong Slum Community in Pnomh Penh.  The children are growing spiritually as they hear the Word of God and receive a very nutritious meal.
  • CAMBODIA BIBLES – Through indigenous missionary James S. we been helping two other ministries with getting Bibles into Vi______m.  Thousands of Hmong Bibles went across the border, however, on the last shipment the police confiscated a few thousand.  Please pray for the bibles to be released. Also, please pray for James S. as the police stopped him and threatened him with arrest if he returns.
  • INDIA – We sent financial support through your donations to The Kaushal’s and for the Living Hope School in the slum area near Gurgaon.  The children here live in the nearby slums and receive two meals a day and an education.  They also are taught the Word of God.
  • We continue to stand with Jim Randall as he ministers and trains leaders in Southeast Asia and other countries as well.  Click here to read Jim’s latest prayer later and update.

July 2017 – SE Asia and Peru Updates

In the Bible, risk always seems to precede revival. On this trip to SE ASIA, God called me to take a risk. Mark 16:18 promises that all who believe “will lay hands on the sick and they will recover” – and the Lord put it in my heart to have the youth test God’s promise.

After I taught about healing, I called any with physical pain to the front and asked everyone remaining to lay hands on them and pray for their healing. Immediately God began to release His power through those young vessels and heal many through their hands! In Cambodia, the Lord caused this to catch fire. The youth continued to pray for each other throughout the weekend, and God continued to heal through them! Some had formerly found little success in praying for the sick, but God released them into a new dimension of power. And what if I had disobeyed the Lord and avoided the risk?

I’ve missed many risks I should have taken in life; but when I have set fears aside and acted on God’s promises, God has often impressed me with His power and willingness to move.

Friends, Christianity is a risky religion. God gave birth to the Jewish people by calling Abraham to RISK everything and go to a nameless nation. God gave birth to the Old Covenant by calling Moses to RISK everything and bring the Jews to Abraham’s promised nation. The Father gave birth to the New Covenant by calling Jesus to LEAVE everything and come to Abraham’s nation to die for our sins. God also gave birth to the New Testament church by calling the apostles to RISK everything: to LEAVE Abraham’s nation, go to OTHER nations and preach the eternal gospel. This brings me to the question: what does God want to birth through our lives – and can we really expect it to happen without great risks? What risks is God calling you and I to take for the salvation of the world?

I believe God wants us all to walk in more of His power for His own sake – but this will never happen as long as we remain in our comfort zone. Let’s get honest and humble with the Lord, confess our fearfulness and ask Him to help us to take risks for His name.

CAMBODIA – EYEGLASS CLINIC OUTREACHES!

While in Cambodia, we conducted eyeglass clinic outreaches in two regions: a village outside of Phnom Penh and the Ang Dong Slum Community. Between these two outreaches, we provided eyeglasses for about 365 people. Every person at the first clinic heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and received prayer – many for the first time. Some gave their hearts to the Lord and many received healing.

We only brought 500 pairs of eyeglasses because we wanted to see if eyeglass clinic outreaches bear fruit in SE Asia. They do!

Next time we will bring at least 1,000 pairs of eyeglasses to draw people to hear the gospel. I just received a message from James Sann saying they just did an eyeglass clinic with the eyeglasses we left behind for them to use. Gloria a Dios!

REACH Missions Training Camp
n June, we opened our first evangelistic feeding center in SE Asia! By God’s grace and your support, we purchased everything needed to start feeding and reaching children in Cambodia’s Ang Dong Slum Community.  As far as we know, this is the first Christian feeding center in Ang Dong, and we believe that the Lord will use it to reach both children and adults with the gospel.

Food and materials needed for the feeding ministry will cost $200 a month, and the building rent will cost about $100 a month. This building also houses a water purification system that provides fresh water for about 700 families in the community.

Thank you for your love and support.  We couldn’t have done it without you!

In July, we conducted a Missionary Training Camp to inspire Vietnamese youth to evangelize their own nation.

26 million people in Vietnam have never heard the gospel – and Vietnam’s communist government makes it difficult for Western missionaries to do the work. The Vietnamese must reach their own neighbors!

The camp greatly blessed the 50 youth, young adults and leaders who attended.

They left inspired and trained to fulfill the call of God and reach their country with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Cambodian children gather for a video about Jesus at the feeding center launch. Many children came from a nearby public school for food and ministry.

For security reasons we cannot include pictures of those who attended REACH.

We sent out two small mission teams to Peru in June and July.

The Cross Street Mission Team, led by Cort Bennett, ministered in Peru from June 15 to 26. They conducted two small, relational discipleship youth retreats at our Marquez mission base. The Lord deeply blessed all that participated; both our team and the Peruvian pastors reported that the retreats were great spiritual successes. The Cross Street Team also hosted an eyeglass clinic outreach and built a pre-fabricated home for a needy family.

The Oasis Church Mission Team, led by my son-in-law Mike Goreski, ministered from July 1 to 9.

They hit the ground running with a busy schedule of children’s ministry, eyeglass clinics and church ministry. They also built two prefabricated homes in Pachacutec – what I call “The Sandy Slum.” This team was a great blessing as well; the churches and leaders they worked with felt very thankful and welcome them back anytime.

Thank you for praying for these teams.
Also, we thank the Peruvian Corazones en Fuego team that joined arms with the USA teams to help reach the people of Peru. Gloria a Dios!

May 2017

Several years ago I found a picture of revivalist Jonathan Goforth standing with a large group of Chinese evangelists he trained in the early 20th century. My heart burned within me: “Lord, may I someday train powerful evangelists who can canvas their regions with the gospel!” This June, God has opened the door for Message Ministries to do just that — and I’m thrilled to join!

In late June and early July, we will hold missionary training retreats for young disciples from more than 30 provinces in Cambodia and ___________. While there, we will teach about the character of God and biblical evangelism. We expect for God to move powerfully, refreshing the young disciples and empowering them to reach their unreached neighbors for Christ.

My soul is all aglow with the possibilities of these training weekends. After this training, how many lost souls will these SE Asian Christians reach? How many evangelists will THEY train? Will God use them to bring salvation to their towns; revival to their churches? I know one thing for sure: these young disciples will leave these training weekends equipped to preach Jesus to those who have never heard His name — and Jesus will glorify His name by using them to change many lives. I feel deeply thankful to God for the opportunity.

Would you like consider helping us to complete this task? Please read the insert below.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and mission support. Words cannot express our gratitude for your partnership with us in God’s call to reach the world. We know our role is small because God’s Kingdom is so big, but we want to faithfully complete the few tasks God has given us. I want to thank you specifically for your help with the Peru Flood Relief Project. Your generosity enabled us to help thousands of people!

I know it may seem we always ask for help. But we don’t ask for ourselves, but for people praying for God’s help and hope. We see ripe spiritual harvest fields around the world full of hungry and hurting souls. We want to jump with excitement at the opportunities God provides — but the spiritual and physical needs make our hearts ache. I hope you understand why we can’t be silent. We ask for help to meet the needs God places before us.

To get things done in the call of King Jesus, God’s workers need three things: finances, time and hard work. We must all learn to give financially — no matter how little or great. We must all give our time through volunteer service and/or prayer. And we must work until the task is complete, never stopping until the job is done. God has called us all to be missionaries — and we must complete the tasks He has ordained for us in the Great Commission. Thank you for doing your part! I encourage you to visit messageministries.org to see pictures, videos, and reports of what God does through us together by His grace and power. Thank you!

April 2017

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support of the Peru Flood Relief Project. So far, thousands of flood victims have received ministry and relief supplies in places like Piura, Huarmey and in Cajamarquilla. This was only possible by the grace of God expressed through the generosity God’s people (that’s you). Without your help we couldn’t have accomplished much at all. The hurting people of Peru were very encouraged to know that God cares about them and that God’s people in America care too! Thank you!

Together with the Peruvian churches we are making a difference. So far we have received a total of $13,267 in flood relief donations, and we have used $10,919 on flood and mudslide relief projects around Peru. Your gifts have supplied food water, school supplies and more for those in need. We only have $1,817 left in the Peru Flood Relief account so we welcome your continued support.

Message Ministries and Missions’ Peruvian board of directors has decided to plant a church in Cajamarquilla, one of the areas devastated by the mudslides. They will send teams from their churches on a regular basis to minister to the people there both practically and spiritually.

In June and July, MM mission teams plan to construct prefab homes for several flood victim families as well. On the right, I’ve placed a couple pictures from my recent 10 day mission to Peru. Please go to www.perufloodrelief.com to see more pictures, as well as video updates.

This little girl in Cajamarquilla really touched my heart. She had nothing but the clothes on her back and a tent to live in! We were blessed to give her and the other children some help and some hope!

When we arrived to Huarmey on the bus there was no one here. Within 15 minutes, hundreds of people were standing in line to get some relief items. We also shared the hope found only in Jesus Christ.

In June I travel back to SE Asia (Cambodia & Thailand) with my son JJ Weller and Darius Tears. We have already planned a youth/young adult discipleship and missionary training camp in Cambodia. Strong Cambodian believers from 25 different provinces will attend the camp, and we pray that we can help equip these young adults to go back to their communities as missionaries.

Only 1.61% of the population of Cambodia profess Christianity, and most Cambodians have never heard the gospel once. While 85% of the population professes Buddhism (Joshua Project), many young Cambodians do not practice Buddhism and are seeking for real answers. We hope to inspire young Cambodian Christians to rise up and reach their nation with the saving message of Jesus Christ.

  • Would you please pray for us as we prepare for this mission?
  • Would you pray for Jim Randall and his son Tim who will join us?
  • Would you please pray for God’s provisions for this trip, including travel expenses and the costs of the camps we will conduct?

Travel expenses aside, we need around $6,000 to conduct camps and conferences that we believe will impact a generation. We also need funds for Khmer bibles and evangelistic tracts in Khmer. We also plan to open our first Cambodian Feeding Center/Children’s ministry in the Ang Dang Slum Community in Pnomh Penh. Please pray that God will meet all of these needs.

Thank you and God bless you!

Hello from Chiang Mai,

Thank you for praying and for supporting the work I am doing here in SE Asia to advance the Kingdom of God. God has blessed and continues to open doors. I will be leaving next Thursday for Kunming, China to do several days of pastor training. It is a fact that we can become much more productive when we know how to do our job skilfully. Big companies and the military spend lots of time training their people to do their job and upgrade skills. It is the same in the Body of Christ. Churches often have training for leaders and seminars for people to become more skillful so they can accomplish more.

I like what Reinhard Bonnke says about his mission in life. I have come to “Plunder Hell to populate Heaven.” His ministry also trains others to do what he does after he leaves. Whatever God has called us to do as our part in advancing His Kingdom, we need to continually upgrade and improve our skills. God’s assignment for me it to continually encourage and train leaders for more effective ministry here in Thailand, Cambodia, _______, Laos, Myanmar, China, Australia and in Africa.

I spend time each week mentoring missionaries who need encouragement, prayer and suggestions for becoming more effective in their work. You might be surprised to learn that missionaries, as front line soldiers in the Battle for souls of men, women and children, are under continual attack from our spiritual enemy, Satan. We hear about the major attacks on ministries but missionaries are continually under attack here just like in your country. Discouragement, disappointment, family issues and finances are issues that most missionaries deal with continually. I spend quite a bit of time being a pastor to missionaries.

I am grateful that I have a great team of people like you who pray for me and as it were, “holding up my arms’ in the battle. (Exodus 17:12). Prayers, financial support to do the work and notes of encouragement are all part of supporting me and the work I do here in SE Asia and beyond. Thank you!

I flew to Bangkok last week for a meeting at the Nigerian Embassy with the Ambassador. As a result, I was promised a two year multiple entry visa for my next trip in the fall. God is also opening doors to South Africa and Ghana for that upcoming trip.

In June, Brian Weller and a team will come to minister and train youth leaders to become more effective in their ministry. Please pray for me as I work with local leaders to set up the schedule God wants for them.

God has kept me very busy so far this year and it looks like momentum is building for an even busier season ahead. He has also kept me healthy and full of energy. Thank you for your prayer and financial support that enables me to be God’s hand extended to the lost and dying people with no hope here in my part of the world, as well as to discouraged and/or hurting missionaries. Thank you again for your prayers and financial support.

May our God bless you greatly! Jim

March 2017 – Peru Flood Relief

Floods and mud slides are devastating entire regions in Peru, killing many and destroying many homes. The estimates are that so far approximately 100,000 homes have been destroyed, over 100 bridges have been washed out, many roads are now inoperable and impassable, and many lives have been lost. In some areas there is little or no food or water available and the situation gets worse by the day as the rains continue to fall.

If you are like me, you cannot stand by and watch these dear people suffer without doing something to help. Many of these people are our brothers and sisters in Christ. We have been ministering in Peru since 1999, so it is painful to watch this happen in a country that has been like a second home to us.

We are sending 100% of the designated funds we receive to the indigenous pastors and leaders we work with in Peru. These leaders are also the leaders of Message Ministries and Missions – Peru, and they can be trusted. As I write this, they are collecting help from their local congregations and purchasing relief items in Lima to bring to those in need. They are and will be working with other pastors and leaders in the devastated areas to help those in need. We have already sent all of the donations we have received so far from our online donors. We will be sending more in a few days as the donations come in.

Message Ministries will be on the front lines providing material needs and preaching the everlasting gospel to the victims. Cort Bennett – one of our mission ambassadors – and I will be going to Peru on April 7th to help with the relief and to formulate a long-term plan to help those God has connected us with in different areas of Peru. One area we’re already working in is Paita, Peru where 600 people were left totally homeless and thousands more were affected. In Paita, we are working with Pastor Martin, who graduated from the Hearts on Fire/Pacto de Vida Bible School many years ago. Pastor Fabian and Pastor Everth are helping him as well.

We have learned over the years that when a tragedy like this strikes, there are so many needs everywhere that we must focus on working with those we are relationally connected to. This way, we know the money that’s given will go where it is needed, helping people in practical ways, but also knowing they will hear the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. People need the hope that only God can give in times like this. Please go to the flood relief page on this website to see pictures of the work we are doing together. We will be posting them there as they come in on www.perufloodrelief.com.

Will you help us to serve the nation of Peru in its greatest hour of need? Any donation helps, regardless of how small it is. It all adds up and helps people to receive help in the name of the Lord Jesus. If you haven’t done so already, please watch our HELP PERU video on the top of this page..

Special thanks to our regular monthly donors for your ongoing faithfulness in giving towards our regular mission commitments around the world. Thank you to those who have already helped with the Peru Flood Relief Project, and thank you in advance to those who choose to help now. God bless you!

In His Service, Brian Weller

Hello Friends,

Thank you for praying for me. I have been in Australia almost a month and will leave next week for Thailand.

My impressions of Australia is that it is more of a lost country than Darkest America. There are some WONDERFUL Christians and great churches in this part of the country, like other areas. However, no one is really reaching out to the lost and the church seems to be in seclusion. There is no Christian book shop here in a city of 190,000 and the general population is VERY worldly but nice. I have met lots of people and almost none of the couples I have met outside the church are married. I don’t ask, it just comes out in conversation. They just move about from partner to partner.

The focus on missions from the YWAM Base is Papua New Guinea. They have one medical ship that stays there most of the time and they just received a new ship that arrived just yesterday. About a hundred or so of us went out to the harbor to greet it as it arrived. It will be used in the Solomon Islands to do medical, relief and carry evangelism teams for reaching unreached areas.

I have been helping with BAM TSV (Business As Missions, Townsville). We will have a conference in mid July to begin training BAM practitioners to reach into PNG and the thousands of islands throughout the South Pacific. There are many unreached peoples in these areas as well as Muslims in the Indonesian islands that have never heard the Gospel.

God Loves me and the people here have a wonderful plan for my life here in Townsville. It is soooo expensive here compared to Asia. I may continue to live in Asia and just travel back and forth to help them get going. I will probably travel to PNG on my next trip to see opportunities there. The need and the opportunity seem great there. The Prime Minister is coming to the YWAM base here next week on the inaugural flight of the PNG Airline to Townsville, the closest city to PNG. The YWAM Base will host a breakfast for him and a number of his cabinet and other government officials to kick off his tour of Australia. His government gives YWAM all the free fuel they can use for their ships and cars here and in PNG. They are a grateful nation and say it with more than words. If you would like to see a short video just go to www.ywamships.org.au/ .

  • Please pray for my future involvement here in Australia and the South Pacific Islands.
  • Please Pray for an increase in my finances if I am to be involved through YWAM here in Australia. They have great needs for their radio station and other ministries operating through here. I have the expertise and experience to help but need to know if it is God’s will.
  • Summer camps in Thailand and Cambodia as well as V________ Ministries (I have been asked to come meet some missionaries in June from the US who have some large works in V_______. They want to do some BAM ministry. I need to know if I should go meet with them.
  • In April we start BAM training via Skype video for entrepreneurs in Nigeria in preparation for the BAM Nigeria conference in October. I have been invited to go to BAM S. Africa in early October.

There is more but if you would just pray for those things listed above and for strength and finances to do all that the Lord has set before me. God has been generous and is allowing me to fulfill my destiny that He spoke over me more than 40 years ago. Thank you for your participation in what the Lord is doing to reach lost souls from every nation, kindred, tribe and tongue.

God Bless you, Jim
